1. Scentmate by dsm-firmenich Reveals Two Major Autumn and Winter Trends for Fine Fragrance
Scentmate by dsm-firmenich, the company’s AI-enabled platform for fragrance co-creation, outlined two major olfactory trends shaping fine fragrance for the autumn and winter seasons.
Scentmate’s data shows that consumers are using fragrance as a skincare ritual, with 73% of consumers seeking beauty enhancement benefits from their fragrances and 61% drawn to new sensorial experiences. The platform’s analysts also note that more consumers are embracing layering in order to customize their scent experiences.
2. Givaudan to Acquire Belle Aire Creations
On September 30, 2025, Givaudan announced its intention to acquire US-based fragrance house Belle Aire Creations. The transaction is aligned with Givaudan’s 2030 strategy to extend its customer reach.
Founded in 1982, Belle Aire Creations is a full-service fragrance manufacturer delivering innovations in perfumery and malodor technology. The company is based in the Midwest, creating a central hub to serve a broad and diverse range of customers across the United States. Further, Belle Aire Creations has made strategic investments in talent, technology and resources to drive growth in the fragrance industry.
“The acquisition of Belle Aire Creations represents an exciting milestone for Givaudan as we continue our journey to deliver long-term sustainable growth,” said Givaudan’s chief executive officer Gilles Andrier. “Their strong customer partnerships and entrepreneurial spirit align perfectly with our vision and values.”
3. Bontoux Acquires Atelier Fluides Supercritiques, Strengthens Leadership in Supercritical CO2 Extraction
Aromatic ingredients company Bontoux announced its acquisition of Atelier Fluides Supercritiques, a specialist in supercritical CO2 extraction.
Atelier Fluides Supercritiques is a French company specializing in supercritical CO2 extraction, with advanced expertise in process design, extraction optimization and the fine restitution of sensitive botanical compounds.
The official signing of this acquisition is planned for late October. Company officials hope that this partnership will strengthen Bontoux’s technical capabilities and production capability.
4. The Estée Lauder Companies Opens Global Fragrance Atelier in Paris
On October 14, 2025, the Estée Lauder Companies announced the opening of its new fragrance atelier within its La Maison des Parfums in Paris, France. This new innovation hub is dedicated to world-class fragrance expertise, advanced technologies and cutting-edge capabilities.

5. Givaudan, Louvre Abu Dhabi Partner on Immersive Sensory Guided Tour
Givaudan announced a new collaboration with Louvre Abu Dhabi to showcase scent in a new interactive exhibit. The exhibit is described as an immersive sensory guided tour of art and bespoke fragrances.
In addition to the exhibit, Givaudan perfumers Dalia Izem and Gaël Montero created a signature scent for the museum called “Universal Breeze.” The fragrance draws inspiration from the museum’s architecture and the interplay of light for a marine breeze scent.
