Givaudan announced a new collaboration with Louvre Abu Dhabi to showcase scent in a new interactive exhibit. The exhibit is described as an immersive sensory guided tour of art and bespoke fragrances.
In addition to the exhibit, Givaudan perfumers Dalia Izem and Gaël Montero created a signature scent for the museum called “Universal Breeze.” The fragrance draws inspiration from the museum’s architecture and the interplay of light for a marine breeze scent.
“We are honored to establish this partnership with Louvre Abu Dhabi,” said Givaudan’s chief executive officer Gilles Andrier. “This collaboration reflects Givaudan’s leadership in creating meaningful experiences for the senses. By uniting two powerful mediums, we offer a new way to engage with culture to visitors, while demonstrating our continued commitment to innovation and excellence.”
According to the company’s press release, visitors will go on a guided olfactory tour pairing fragrances with artworks. The exhibit ends with a performative work by artist Shiraga.
“At Givaudan, we believe fragrance is an invisible expression that stirs emotion and memory,” said global head of fine fragrances Xavier Renard. “Our partnership with Louvre Abu Dhabi celebrates the dialogue between visual culture and evocative olfactive creation. Through powerful scent, our perfumers were able to translate the museum’s timeless features into a new sensory dimension. This collaboration honors our shared commitment to creativity, heritage and innovation. We are proud to bring the power of perfumery into conversation with the timeless beauty of Louvre Abu Dhabi.”
