On September 20, 2025, Marie Wright announced her retirement from ADM following a storied career as a creator and leader in the ingredient industry. She is launching a new venture, Mystic Flavours, where she hopes to share her passion for flavor.
Wright most recently served as president of creation, design and development and chief global flavorist at ADM. She led a team of over 1,200 scientists across the company’s human and animal nutrition sectors. She has also been involved with Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce (WFFC), serving on the executive board and in key leadership roles. Further, Wright was named a “Woman Worth Watching in STEM” by Profiles in Diversity Journal.
Wright co-founded Mystic Flavours with John Wright. Together, they hope to inspire the next generation of flavorists across the globe.
“I have been lucky in my career to have worked with extremely talented people and with some of the greatest companies in the industry,” Wright said. “As I move to the next chapter, I have nothing but gratitude for all the people that have shaped my career and been part of my working life. I am now very excited to follow my dream and know that any future success will come from the strong foundation built.”
