On September 25, 2025, the European Flavour Association (EFFA) announced the election of its new board for the 2025-2027 term during its general assembly meeting. Doruk Ongan, previously the association’s vice president, will now serve as president.
“I look forward to working with Karel Stoschek, as past president, and with Mr. Walter Ribero as newly elected vice president to represent the interests of the European flavor industry,” Ongan said.
The EFFA’s assembly brought together representatives from national associations and companies across Europe to review the past year and define priorities for the next, as well as elect its new board. Additionally, the EFFA assisted in creating a new association: the Polish Association of the Flavour Industry (PZPA). The board hopes this new association will strengthen representation across Europe and continue to support the flavor industry in Europe and globally.
“EFFA’s strength lies in its members,” Ongan said. “With PZPA joining, our family grows stronger, more diverse and even better equipped to shape the future of our industry.”
The newly appointed board will guide EFFA in its strategic priorities and represent the collective voice of the European flavor industry. The new Board reflects a wider range of perspectives, with UKFA (United Kingdom) and AEFFA (Spain) joining for the first time. Both members bring experience from small and medium-sized enterprises.
