On September 4, 2025, German company Capol, a global leader in confectionery coatings, announced its acquisition of Blue Pacific Flavors. Company officials hope that the acquisition will create a new global food ingredients leader with complementary strengths.

According to the press release, Blue Pacific Flavors will continue under the leadership of chief executive officer Donald Wilkes. Further, the team and operations will remain unchanged.

“Our farm to flavor story will now be amplified through world-class infrastructure and global reach,” Wilkes said. “Together with Capol, we can deliver greater innovation, faster speed to market and enhanced value for our customers.”

Capol also recently acquired German flavor house Curt Georgi, further reinforcing its commitment to flavor innovation.

“The integration of Blue Pacific Flavors marks a pivotal moment in our shared journey to build a truly global food ingredients platform with flavors and surface treatments,” said Capol chief executive officer Peter Hantl.
