Aromatic ingredients company Bontoux announced its acquisition of Atelier Fluides Supercritiques, a specialist in supercritical CO2 extraction.
Atelier Fluides Supercritiques is a French company specializing in supercritical CO2 extraction, with advanced expertise in process design, extraction optimization and the fine restitution of sensitive botanical compounds.
The official signing of this acquisition is planned for late October. Company officials hope that this partnership will strengthen Bontoux’s technical capabilities and production capability.
“The appetite for natural products is strong,” said Pierre-Philippe Garry, chief executive officer of Bontoux. “But mastering quality and consumer safety while respecting the environment brings increasingly ambitious challenges – where technology plays a key role. Supercritical CO2 extraction has existed for a long time, and over the past 15 years with the support of public institutions, Atelier Fluides Supercritiques has developed unique know-how and expertise. This acquisition reflects a shared commitment to creating locally anchored added-value that sustains employment and craftsmanship. It marks an exciting chapter for both Atelier Fluides Supercritiques and Bontoux.”
Vincent Perrut, head of Atelier Fluides Supercritiques, added, “This integration represents a growth opportunity for the Nyons technology platform and will further strengthen its local presence.”
