The American Society of Perfumers (ASP) recognized Mane, Givaudan and Pura as the inaugural winners of its World Perfumery Congress (WPC) Exhibitor Awards, honoring innovation in fragrance ingredients, technology and sustainability during WPC 2026.
Mane received the Most Innovative Ingredient Award for Elixiris, a natural co-extract created by co-distilling orris roots with rectified Texas cedarwood essential oil. The process produces a novel olfactory material that combines the powdery elegance of orris with woody cedar notes, while incorporating responsibly sourced and upcycled raw materials.
The company describes Elixiris as having a powdery, floral softness and dry, structured woody backbone, enhanced by delicate violet nuances that deliver depth, elegance and a long-lasting tail. (Recommended dosage: 0.05-1.50%.)
Givaudan earned the Standout Ingredient Technology Award for PlanetCaps S, a biodegradable, microplastic-free fragrance encapsulation technology for personal and fabric care applications. Developed over nearly a decade, the bio-sourced system contains more than 60% renewable carbon and is designed to deliver fragrance longevity while meeting evolving sustainability and regulatory requirements.
Pura was presented with the Eco Champion Award for its modular, reusable exhibit design. The company also transformed retired soundproof phone booths into interactive fragrance smelling stations, extending the life of existing materials while reducing trade show waste.
The awards were evaluated by an international panel of industry experts representing fragrance media and events, including Christine Esposito (Happi), Véronique Louis (Expression Cosmétique Magazine), Miriam Mora (Next in Beauty) and Alex Wu (Notes Shanghai). Winners received custom-designed trophies created by New Jersey artist Damien Davis.
The new awards program recognizes exhibitors whose ingredient innovation, technological advancement and sustainability initiatives are helping shape the future of perfumery.
