Amid this market vibe shift, success will increasingly be defined by a craving for gourmand notes, alcohol-free oil formats and the functional power of scent-as-wellness. Drawing from TikTok, search, Reddit and industry trend analyses, our latest fragrance agenda report outlines the top opportunities for brands in 2026 and beyond.

Fragrance is the smallest mass market segment in the U.S. beauty market, but it grew at the fastest rate in 2025, per Circanaa, with both dollar sales and units up about 15%. Prestige fragrance grew 5% in dollars and charted as the second-largest segment in prestige retail. That said, Q4 growth was behind other segments, including makeup, skin care and hair. Circana attributes this to a "normalization" of the market.
