Robertet Acquires Bionov

Robertet, a leader in the flavor and fragrance natural ingredient market, acquired Bionov, a leading specialist and producer of natural SuperOxide Dismutase (SOD). The investment will grow Robertet's health and beauty division in the ingredient market. SOD is a natural ingredient that is derived from a specific melon (Cucumis melo L.) variety with multiple health benefits.

Bionov will bring expertise in biosciences and encapsulation technology to Robertet. They will also bring a skilled technical team to help continue the ingredient research. Bionov's active ingredient brands—Extramel, Dimpless and Melofeed—will be taken over by Robertet, which include functional food and beverage, cosmetics and pet care ingredients.
