The European Flavour Association (EFFA) has appointed Andrea Occhionero as the association's public affairs manager. He brings to the role more than three years of experience in the field of public policy, government affairs and advocacy in the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining EFFA, Occhionero worked at several Brussels-based companies and associations. He will continue to work on the positioning of EFFA and the role that the flavor industry can play in the transition towards more sustainable European food systems.
Occhionero said, “I am honored to join the EFFA’s family, and I will work together with the EFFA Board and membership to keep ensuring that the industry’s interests are well represented at the European level.”
Alexander Mohr, Ph.D., executive director of EFFA, said, “Andrea brings passion and experience to this important role, and we look forward to welcoming him on board.”
