
On October 8, 2025, Givaudan’s Taste & Wellbeing division announced the groundbreaking of its new liquids production facility in Reading, Ohio. The new site represents an investment of CHF 187 million and spans 24,000 square meters.
“This new facility represents our largest investment in the USA in many years, demonstrating the importance of the market to Givaudan and to the food and beverage industry,” said chief executive officer Gilles Andrier. “It is a tangible example of Givaudan’s 2030 strategy in action, strengthening our market and operational presence, extending customer reach and advancing sustainable, innovative solutions that consumers love.”
Construction on the site is currently underway and expected to be completed in 18 months, according to the company’s press release. Partial operations are scheduled to begin as early as 2027. Further, the new site is designed to maximize production while reducing environmental impact and will create over 300 new jobs across skill sets.

The current planned facility will span 24,000 square meters with a total reserved land area of more than 100,000 square meters to accommodate future growth.
