Comax Appoints Michael Crain as Senior Flavorist

Michael E. Crain has been appointed as senior flavor chemist at Comax Flavors. Crain will lead the creative flavor labs in the company's Melville headquarters, along with its upcoming NJ innovation center in fall 2017.Michael E. A certified member of the Society of Flavor Chemists and the Institute of Food Technologists, Crain comes to Comax after serving as the sweet goods senior flavor chemist at IFF/Ottens. He has spent 35 years in the flavor industry, with positions at IFF/Ottens Flavors and Fritzsche Dodge & Olcott (BASF)/Givaudan Flavors.
