This invention relates to functional sweeteners consisting of no- or low-calorie, natural and/or synthetic, high-potency sweeteners and methods for making and using them.

Said sweeteners include at least one sweet taste-improving composition, and at least one functional ingredient such as a vitamin. These compositions and methods provided impart a more sugar-like temporal and flavor profile, including sweetness onset and sweetness linger.
