Fragrance brand Floris London announced the launch of Purple Mémoire, its newest fragrance creation inspired by the legacy of the Loris family.
The fragrance takes inspiration from Ivy Lodge, the family home of Mary Anne Floris and James R.D. Bodenham in the late 1800s. This home, located in the English countryside, was well known for its lavender and coriander gardens.
“Ivy Lodge was the heart of our family’s story,” said perfume director Edward Bodenham. “Our archives preserve a treasured photo album spanning over 50 years of their life their. The sepia portraits and joyful snapshots of summer afternoons convey warmth, joy and a sense of nostalgia. These emotions are at the heart of Purple Mémoire.”
Roberta Ion, fragrance and bespoke manager at Floris, added, “We wanted to honor the British heritage of lavender while introducing gourmand notes like cacao and vanilla. This contrast creates a fresh, modern interpretation of a woody aromatic scent, making it appealing to both long-time Floris fans and new generations discovering our fragrances for the first time.”
Purple Mémoire Eau de Parfum is available for purchase on the Floris London website for $270.
