On March 17, 2025, Interparfums, Inc. announced its acquisition of all worldwide intellectual property rights relating to Maison Goutal, held by Amorepacific Europe.
Maison Goutal was created by Annick Goutal in 1981 and is known for a wide range of perfume, bath and home fragrance lines. Further, the brand has marketed itself through a network of boutiques and in-store sales corners in France and abroad. The brand states that it uses high-quality raw materials in its formulations.
According to the acquisition agreement, Amorepacific Europe will continue to operate the Goutal brand under a license agreement for a set duration. Interparfums SA will then develop the brand from 2026 onwards with its licensee.
“The acquisition of the Goutal brand reflects our strategy of broadening our product offering to include high-end fragrances,” said Jean Madar, chairman and chief executive officer of Interparfums. “This brand, known for its iconic lines such as L’Eau d’Hadrian and Petite Chérie, has substantial potential in this highly dynamic segment. Intent on safeguarding the legacy of the company her mother created and perpetuating the brand’s values, Camille Goutal will remain involved in fragrance choices.”
