The new office will be a clubhouse-like environment where people can connect and collaborate. The building is set to be ready by the end of 2023.

DSM will apply sustainability standards (BREEAM) in the design and construction of the office, which will be energy neutral. The user experience and DSM’s hybrid working principles form the basis of the design.

DSM will not to re-open its Sittard office and showed that building a new head office on the designated plot in Maastricht is a great long-term solution, facilitating the company’s hybrid way of working. DSM will work closely with the local municipality to find a suitable new owner for the Heerlen office.

Geraldine Matchett and Dimitri de Vreeze, co-CEOs of Royal DSM, commented, “DSM’s new head office is more than a new building, it’s an inspiring, healthy and open place that will be stylishly integrated into the environment and the community around it. We’re looking forward to providing a positive working environment for employees and visitors, with wellbeing and sustainability at the heart.”
