Symrise has brought a €27.5 million chicken production expansion online at its Berric, France, site, adding a new cooking line and spray-drying tower to boost capacity for chicken ingredients and savory taste solutions.

The investment strengthens the company's global chicken platform, expanding its European manufacturing footprint while complementing its established North American production capabilities. The additional capacity will primarily serve customers across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, while providing new sourcing options for customers in Asia Pacific and Latin America.

The expanded facility can produce a broader range of chicken-based ingredients and integrated taste solutions, including powders, broths, fats, pieces and natural flavor combinations. Applications span savory foods and nutritional products, with the technology enabling production ranging from pure chicken ingredients to more complex flavor systems.

By combining natural chicken ingredients with flavor creation, process technology and application expertise, Symrise aims to help food manufacturers develop authentic chicken profiles while strengthening supply reliability and production flexibility across markets.

The project builds on more than 45 years of chicken expertise at Berric and supports Symrise's broader strategy to grow its Food & Beverage and Pet Food businesses through expanded ingredient capabilities and global supply resilience.
