IFF will introduce four new additions to its LMR Hearts collection at SIMPPAR 2026, as the company spotlights its latest advances in sustainable natural ingredients and extraction technologies. The launches will be presented by LMR Naturals by IFF during the May 26-27 event in Grasse, France.
The new LMR Hearts are designed to deliver more focused olfactive profiles while preserving the integrity of the original natural material. Developed through long-term sourcing partnerships, sustainable agricultural programs and precision molecular distillation and fractionation at LMR’s Grasse facility, the four new ingredients include Lavandin Heart France, Armoise Heart Morocco, Ylang Heart Madagascar and Geranium Heart Egypt.
Each ingredient has been tailored for a distinct sensory signature. Lavandin Heart France features a stronger coumarin profile for a more gourmand effect, while Armoise Heart Morocco offers increased thujone content for fresher diffusion. Ylang Heart Madagascar delivers a creamy, solar “extra grade” profile, and Geranium Heart Egypt emphasizes fruity lychee nuances without traditional minty facets.
According to Bertrand de Préville, general manager of LMR, responsible innovation remains central to the company’s strategy, combining natural expertise with scientific capabilities to support perfumers and scale sustainable growth globally. Bernard Blerot, VP R&D Naturals at IFF, added that the new Hearts demonstrate how sourcing and scientific stewardship can refine naturals to provide greater purity and olfactive focus.
The launches build on several recent natural ingredient introductions from LMR Naturals, including Tonka Bean CO₂ Absolute produced using renewable supercritical CO₂ extraction at the company’s Aumont-Aubrac facility in France, Osmanthus Absolute Fruity China and the Pulpextract Passion Fruit and Raspberry ingredients developed exclusively for IFF perfumers.
IFF said the new developments respond to continued consumer demand for fruity and gourmand fragrance profiles, categories that remain a significant segment within women’s fragrance. The company has continued investing in natural raw materials and integrated extraction technologies for more than 25 years through the LMR platform.
The company will also reinforce its naturals strategy later this month with the inauguration of Domaine des Naturals LMR in Grasse, an experimental field dedicated to raw materials research and innovation. The site is intended to support future development across cultivation, harvesting and extraction while strengthening IFF’s vertically integrated naturals ecosystem.
LMR Naturals operates a fully integrated platform combining sourcing partnerships, agronomy-led sustainability programs and in-house extraction technologies including molecular distillation, fractionation and CO₂ extraction. By controlling these processes internally, the company aims to develop traceable, sustainable and high-performance natural ingredients tailored to perfumers’ creative needs.
