Givaudan is investing CHF 55 million to build "Campus 52," a new center of excellence in Grasse, France. The facility will serve as the hub for the company’s House of Naturals organization, focusing on the development and production of natural fragrance ingredients.
The site will include both a production plant and an innovation laboratory. Operations will be organized around four specific areas: agronomy, innovation, operations, and perfumery. Givaudan intends to use the campus to deploy extraction technologies and manage its responsible sourcing program.
The investment is a component of the company’s 2030 growth strategy. This infrastructure project follows a fiscal year in which Givaudan reported sales of CHF 7.5 billion and a global workforce of 17,580 employees.
Construction of the center in Grasse is intended to combine local perfume industry traditions with the company's existing scientific and manufacturing scale.
Gilles Andrier, CEO of Givaudan said, “Located in the heart of Grasse, ‘Campus 52’ represents a return to our roots, where perfumery traditions, know‑how and craftsmanship have flourished for centuries. This investment is fully aligned with Givaudan’s 2030 strategy, which aims to drive sustainable growth by creating high value‑added fragrance solutions that consumers love.”
Xavier Renard, Global Head of Fine Fragrance, added, “The new campus will host development and production capabilities designed to deliver exclusive, high‑quality natural ingredients. Givaudan’s perfumers are at the heart of fragrance creation, and ‘Campus 52’ will enrich their palette with even more exceptional natural ingredients, to craft the best fragrances of tomorrow.”
