American fine fragrance brand Blocki has re-released two of its classic scents, Saharet and Kosciuszko, inspired by specific people and stories from the brand’s origin.
Inspired by the time the Blocki family witnessed a performance from dancer Saharet at the Chicago Theatre, Saharet is a sweet, gourmand scent that features top notes of pink pepper, mandarin and cardamom; heart notes of Egyptian geranium, amber and cashmere; base notes of vetiver, patchouli and labdanum. Perfumer Lionel Nesbitt was responsible for re-creating the 1908 scent.

While Saharet features sugary and spicy notes, Kosciuszko is a smoky, green fragrance that features top notes of bergamot, black pepper, orange bitters; heart notes of fir, Swiss cognac, tobacco and gunpowder; and base notes of Texas cedar, vetiver, Cypress oil and musk. Created by perfumer Duff Scott, the fragrance takes its inspiration from Blocki’s 1903 Bouquet Kosciusko fragrance, which was created as a tribute to the American revolutionary Tadeusz Kościuszko.
