Fragrance brand Le Monde Gourmand announced its collaboration with Los Angeles multidisciplinary artist and floral designer Juan Renteria, known as El Creativo, to develop a new eau de parfum. The fragrance, Copal de Terre, is an homage to his Mexican heritage and artistic expression.
“Juan’s unique creativity shows us that futurism can bloom from deeply traditional roots,” said Ann Somma, chief brand officer at Le Monde Gourmand. “From our first meeting, it was clear that his vision would drive a magical fragrance to intrigue and inform our community of perfume lovers. The addition of perfumer Rodrigo Flores Roux to this alchemic mix was a dream come true for both Juan and Le Monde Gourmand, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this masterpiece with the world.”
The fragrance was crafted by perfumer Rodrigo Flores Roux with global fragrance house Givaudan. The scent includes notes of amber, blue cypress and Mexican vanilla beans.
Renteria added, “I want them to feel a rush of home like being embraced by Mother Earth herself. More than anything, I want them to experience the essence of México Antiguo, a fragrance steeped in history, warmth and soul.”
Copal de Terre will launch on Le Monde Gourmand’s website on April 10, 2025, and will retail for $28.
