Italian fashion house Gucci announced the expansion of the Alchemist’s Garden range with three new fragrances. These fragrances, developed by creative director Sabato De Sarno, join Tears from the Moon in the collection and will be available for purchase both online and in stores.

According to Coty, the perfumers at Gucci used the alchemy practices in Florence during the Italian Renaissance as inspiration for the collection.

“They create scents through a dynamic process inspired by the four alchemical stages of matter transformation, each linked to one of the four elements: substratum (earth), vaporum (air), liquidum (water) and ignis (fire),” the company stated in a press release.
