Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils has debuted its Desert Dry collection comprising of Desert Dry, Desert Dry Complete and Desert Dry Super essential oils. The range of oils is created using naturally fallen sandalwood (Santalum spicatum) trees, sundried in Australia’s desert lands.

For each dead tree collected 20 seeds are planted and logged using GPS to monitor regeneration. Benefits are also shared with traditional custodians through profit-share, wood sales and royalties to the K Farmer Dutjahn Foundation.

According to the company, the Desert Dry collection has varying levels of resinous facets akin to olibanum or myrrh plus mineral nuances, reminiscent of the dry country they come from. The oils are designed to be utilized in a wide range of fragrance applications from fine fragrance to body care, soap as well as incense and bakhour, and particularly candles or air care applications.

Guy Vincent, Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils CEO and perfumer, shared,  “The Desert Dry collection has more pronounced initial impact and unique olfactive qualities–the oils present earlier in fragrances, while offering more lift and rugged character that modify formulas in different ways than Australian sandalwood oils made from green wood. These technical benefits of the oils meet consumer demands for bold fragrances and transportive scents while speaking to the social conscience of today’s consumers.”

Vincent added, “They are not only remarkable products, but they also have a rich, authentic story that can benefit brands."

The Desert Dry and Desert Dry Complete products are UEBT verified responsibly sourced.
