Givaudan to Acquire Majority Stake in Vollmens Fragrances

On June 27, 2025, Givaudan announced its agreement to acquire a majority stake in Vollmens Fragrances, an award-winning Brazilian fragrance house. The company hopes that this partnership in Latin America will help strengthen reach and drive development and growth with regional customers.

Vollmens Fragrances is based in Saltinho, Brazil and has been operating since 2004. The company operates across Latin America as well as Central America, Africa and North America. The founding family executives of the house, Nestor Francisco Mendes and Rinaldo José Mendes, will continue to lead Vollmens.

“Acquiring a majority stake in Vollmens Fragrances fits perfectly with out 2025 strategy to expand our presence with local and regional customers,” said Givaudan chief executive officer Gilles Andrier. “This partnership will also further strengthen our business in the high-growth markets of Latin America and we look forward to building a bright future together with the Mendes family.”

According to the company’s press release, Givaudan plans to fund the transaction from existing resources, and the transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.
