Puente also participated in several executive education programs at Northwestern University and MIT.

Joining Kalsec’s procurement function in 2005, Puente took on global sourcing and supply chain responsibilities at manager and director levels. He was promoted to vice president of procurement in 2013 and oversees Kalsec’s global procurement strategy. Puente also became an officer in the Kalsec organization.

Throughout his career, Puente, along with his team, has led efforts to create and transform Kalsec’s supply chain in countries like the United States, Peru, China, India, Brazil and Turkey. These projects have resulted in positive impacts all the way down to the communities where raw materials are grown.
