FONA International (Geneva, Illinois) has introduced FlavorNotes, a new flavor app for smart phones and other mobile devices. It is designed to help develop flavor profiles, allowing users to record taste descriptors when tasting samples or whenever else they may be inspired. The app features nine flavor categories, with hundreds of flavors and descriptors combining to offer thousands of possibilities, and it can help the user refine flavor levels, type comments, save profiles and e-mail everything to others. This, in turn, assists an entire product development team share a common language of flavor descriptors when conceptualizing and developing new products. Download the app here.
