Gourmand fragrances are making a splash in bath and body trends this spring/summer.
For instance, Seven Scent has created four gourmand fragrances for its new patisserie bath range from Polish brand Luksja. The new collection highlights a cupcake-inspired sweet influence for this year’s spring/summer season.
“Early last year, we identified a clear move to sweet gourmand notes reminiscent of vintage American desserts, such as creamy meringue, zesty key lime pie and sugary vanilla, in a number of leading fine fragrance brands," said Miri Scott, fragrance insight manager Seven Scent. "This research, together with the huge popularity of cupcakes in Poland and worldwide, led to the development of a series of fragrances for the Luksja Patisserie range each evokes the delicious indulgence of its chosen sweet treat."
The patisserie range includes sweet honey notes and toasted butter blend to create Caramel Waffle; buttery pastry, tart lemon zest and sweet baked meringue combine for Lemon Pie; an almond base layers with juicy cooked cherries for Cherry Tart; while fruity berries infused with fresh baked cakes evoke Blueberry Muffin.
“It has been very well received since its launch six months ago and achieved top three brand positioning in bath,” said Anna Rogalska, marketing director for PZ Cussons Poland.
The Polish personal care market is currently valued at £125 million and forecast to grow 5% year on year.
