Maison Psyché, the largest luxury perfume house of the Rémy Cointreau group, announced the launch of Éclat d’Ombre, a unisex, limited-edition fragrance.

Maison Psyché made its debut in the fine fragrance space two years ago and incorporates elements of its own Cognac cellar into its creations. Éclat d’Ombre is the result of a collaboration between principal perfumer Sophie Labbé and cellar master Baptiste Loiseau.

“The time spent in barrels and the metamorphosis while in contact with wood gives this composition a rounder, more elegant apricot and creamy character,” Loiseau said. “The earthy, balsamic base notes become more intense, less formal and more saline. The fresh, fruity top notes harmonize and merge with the floral heart of the fragrance.”

“Maison Psyché draws on its ancestral savoir-faire to create a new level of excellence in perfumery,” added Catherine Sardin, managing director. “By embracing a natural, artisanal approach to transforming materials, the process achieves a veritable art of metamorphosis that delivers vibrant, richly aromatic fragrances.”

Éclat d’Ombre will be available in 30 numbered crystal bottles and can be purchased by appointment at Maison Psyché’s salon in Paris and in Cognac.
