Matrix Flavours and Fragrances has added a third facility to its 6-acre campus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, expanding its manufacturing capability.
The new 100,000 m² building is dedicated solely to manufacturing flavors. Each of its three manufacturing floors has a specific support designation—powder, liquid production and warehousing. There are also five stories for offices, laboratories, sensory evaluation and training.
The facility also includes a semi auto-dosing machine for the key compounding of flavors (the company’s fist), designed to streamline production and increase efficiency in production.
“It is a momentous achievement for Matrix to build this facility, to support the continued growth of our flavors and fragrances division,” said senior general manager Dr. Tina Tan. “With this state-of-the-art facility, we are able to better serve our customers through maximizing productivity, streamlining manufacturing processes in a cost-effective manner, whilst maintaining strict quality flavors that our customers are used to. We have always aimed to be a leading flavor manufacturer in the region – this building represents a step closer towards that vision.”
