Natural Advantage introduces natural methyl 2-methylbutyrate (FEMA# 2719, CAS #868-57-5). This material occurs naturally in apple, orange, spearmint, melon and strawberry. Methyl 2-methylbutyrate can be described as having a sweet fruity ethereal odor reminiscent of a mixture of ripe berries and pulpy apples with hints of rum and nut nuances. With very sweet, fruity and apple-like characteristics, this material can add juiciness and freshness to alcoholic beverages, specifically rums and brandy. Methyl 2-methylbutyrate can be used to achieve flavors such as apple, citrus, strawberry and tropical fruits. Recommended use levels are 0.1-10ppm. EU and US natural, kosher, vegetarian and non-GMO.
