On June 3, 2025, Custom Flavors held a groundbreaking event for its new east coast processing facility in Concord, North Carolina. This new facility will double the company’s production capacity, streamline shipping and strengthen product development support.
The Concord facility, designed by firm A M King, will contain 53,000-square feet of production and lab space. The facility will also allow Custom Flavors to better serve its Midwest and East Coast customers with reduced shipping costs.
“It has been a tremendous experience working with … the team at A M King,” said Alex Wendling, president of Custom Flavors. “Together, we have designed a premier flavor manufacturing and innovation hub here in the greater Charlotte region and today kicks off the accelerated buildout to meet the demands of our wonderful, fast-growing customers. With each phase of this project and the continued evolution of our existing operations, we look to offer even more to those who count on us.”
Custom Flavors has estimated that this project will generate 30 new jobs over the next three years in food science, production and quality control.
