Mountain Dew is releasing their latest mystery flavor to stores on August 30.

This is the third year that Mountain Dew is releasing a mystery flavor under the pseudonym VooDew. The first two flavors were later revealed to be Candy Corn and Fruity Candy Explosion.

The mystery flavor will be packaged in both 20 oz bottles and 12 oz cans.

Some influencers and foodies have gotten the opportunity to try the latest VooDew ahead of the launch, but they aren't confident of the flavor.

Instagrammer @candyhunting said, "To me, it tastes like a cross between red licorice and cherry Starburst. It seems like artificial cherry with something else going on, possibly tropical fruit."
