1. Turpaz Acquires Carotex, Strengthens Position in F&F in Europe
Turpaz Industries announced the acquisition of Polish company Carotex for $23.4 million and 22% of the shares in Turpaz’s Polish subsidiary, Pollena Aroma.
Founded in 1989, Carotex develops, markets and manufactures flavors and fragrances for a variety of industries, including food and beverage, personal care, air care and cosmetics. The company has a broad customer base across Europe, particularly in the beverage sector.
According to the press release, the founders of Carotex will join Pollena Aroma’s management team and assist in integrating the companies’ operations.
2. Flavor Reports: EU Edition (June 2025)
In this month’s column we evaluate ingredients from Capua 1880, a family-run business built across five generations since it was founded in 1880 in Reggio Calabria. Capua 1880 has been internationally recognized for their expertise and knowledge on citrus, specializing particularly on citrus oils and ingredients for flavors, as well as fragrances.
3. Custom Flavors Breaks Ground on East Coast Production Facility
On June 3, 2025, Custom Flavors held a groundbreaking event for its new east coast processing facility in Concord, North Carolina. This new facility will double the company’s production capacity, streamline shipping and strengthen product development support.
The Concord facility, designed by firm A M King, will contain 53,000-square feet of production and lab space. The facility will also allow Custom Flavors to better serve its Midwest and East Coast customers with reduced shipping costs.
“It has been a tremendous experience working with … the team at A M King,” said Alex Wendling, president of Custom Flavors. “Together, we have designed a premier flavor manufacturing and innovation hub here in the greater Charlotte region and today kicks off the accelerated buildout to meet the demands of our wonderful, fast-growing customers. With each phase of this project and the continued evolution of our existing operations, we look to offer even more to those who count on us.”
4. Global FTNF Flavor Market To Grow 6.5% Over Next Decade
The global FTNF (from the named fruit) flavor market, valued at $3.919 billion in 2025, is expected to increase to 7.358 billion in 2035, according to a new report form Future Market Insights. This increase represents a compound annual growth rate of 6.5%. The analysts hypothesize that the growth in this market is driven by consumer demand for authentic flavors in foods and beverages.
“The authenticity, purity and natural taste profile of the FTNF flavors are guaranteed, as they originate directly from the fruits themselves,” the report states. “The food and beverage industry is a significant sector where these flavors are used, especially in juices, soft drinks dairy and confectionery, where natural labeling and clean ingredients are prioritized. The surge in consumer demand for natural and minimally-processed food inputs is a significant factor driving the growth of this sector.”
5. Flavorchem Launches New Premium Vanilla Portfolio
Flavor and ingredient supplier Flavorchem announced the launch of The Art of Vanilla, a new portfolio of premium vanilla ingredients. This portfolio is intended to showcase the versatility and popularity of vanilla while maintaining quality.
“Vanilla has long been a foundational part of our expertise, but with so much innovation happening in the space, we knew it was time to reintroduce our vanilla offerings with a fresh perspective,” said Jim Hamernik, director of flavor R&D. “With options that include organic, clean label and sustainable produced extracts, The Art of Vanilla allows brands to meet today’s consumer demands without compromise.”
