MilliporeSigma has embarked on its third annual Curiosity Cube mobile science lab tour.
The Curiosity Cube, a 22x15-foot retrofitted shipping container, is a mobile science lab outfitted with interactive, hands-on science experiments designed to encourage children from lower-resourced schools to explore STEM careers. Of the schools the lab will visit in 2019, 95% will be Title 1 (a classification from the U.S. Department of Education based on the percentage of students from low-income families).

For 2019, the Curiosity Cube’s experiments are themed to the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table of Elements. Students will use augmented reality, virtual reality, digital microscopes, 3D printers and science instrument to explore elements found in nature, technology and the human body, guided by MilliporeSigma employees.
