Givaudan perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux has formulated John Varvatos eponymous first women’s fragrance. The scent features notes of grappa, apricot, damascus plum, mandarin, mango blossom, jasmine, rose attar, rubrum lilies, oakmoss, patchouli, tonka beans and honey.
Symrise perfumer Bernard Ellena has created Jil Sander’s latest fragrance, Jil Sander Stylessence. The scent features notes of pettigrain, cardamom, freesia, neroli, jasmine, violet, hinoki, amber and musk.
IFF perfumers Dominique Ropion, Olivier Polge and Beatrice Piquet have formulated Burberry’s latest women’s fragrance, The Beat. The scent features notes of Ceylon tea, iris, bluebell, bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper, mandarin, white musk, vetiver and cedarwood.
Thierry Mugler Parfums has launched a five fragrance collection called Miroir, Miroir. For these fragrances, the company asked perfumers to submit their vision of Thierry Mugler, resulting in fragrances with different stories. The first fragrance—Through the Looking Glass—was created by Mane perfumer Alexis Didier and features notes of tuberose, a woody accord, absinthe and wintergreen. The second—Mirror of Scents—was created by IFF perfumer Domitille Bertier and features notes of bitter-sweet aldehydes, patchouli and white musk. The third—Mirror Image—was formulated by Mane perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin and features notes of lily, orange blossom and milky notes. The fourth—Mirror of Vanities—was concocted by Mane’s Didier and features notes of citrus accords, chinchona bark, vetiver and licorice. The final fragrance—Mirror of Desires—was created by Givaudan perfumers Christine Nagel and Louis Turner and features notes of toast, sun-warmed skin and jasmine.
