Brown Girl Jane Launches Mood-boosting Fragrance Collection

Brown Girl Jane is expanding into the fragrance industry with the Wanderlust Collection, a trio of eau de parfums inspired by Brown Girl Jane founders’ favorite international getaways. The scents were created in collaboration with Firmenich fragrance house.

According to Brown Girl Jane's website, the mood-boosting scents utilize neuroscientifically proven, patented fragrance technology to elicit feelings that bring users to a more grounded state.

The website reads, "We use patented scent science to uncover the link between feeling, ingredients and colors to help determine the key to enhance targeted emotions."

The fragrance collection is vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free.

Lamu is inspired by the beaches of Lamu, Kenya. Top notes include bergamot, coastal sage and Italian lemon; middle notes feature salty plumeria, coconut water and gardenia and base notes hold driftwood, solar musk and sandalwood.

Casablanca is inspired by Casablanca, Morocco. Top notes include cardamom, marshmallow and incense; middle notes feature saffron, soft suede and vanilla orchid and base notes hold glowing amber, soft musk and sandalwood.

Bahia is inspired by Bahia, Brazil. Top notes consist of peach nectar, water lotus and orange flower essence; middle notes feature tuberose, jasmine petals and golden gardenia and base notes hold vanilla bean, cedarwood and cashmere musk.
