Report: Food Flavor Market to Reach $13.7 Billion by 2018

The food flavor market is projected to reach $13.7 billion by 2018, according to a recent report from RnRMarketResearch.com, which said that part of this growth is includes strong demand for safe natural flavors.

According to the report, North America is the largest market for food flavor, followed by Asia-Pacific and Europe. The Asia-Pacific market is estimated to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 6% from 2013 to 2018. Asia-Pacific represents the fastest growing market, followed by Europe.

With portions shrinking dramatically—some consumers reporting a shift from three or four chapatis to one or two, or from multiple bowls of rice to half a bowl—the sensory and nutritional payoff of each bite becomes increasingly important.
