In order to expand further into the Asian market, Callisons opened its first international facility in Suzhou, China. The facility will include sales, marketing, R&D, flavor development and production divisions.
Jim Burgett, a fourth generation family member and president of Callisons explained the flavor company’s excitement in opening offices in China, as this opportunity is a significant first step.
“Our historical business platform focused on mint flavors and ingredients is a natural entry point for us, and in time we will add fruit, herbal, dairy and savory products to our portfolio,” added Burgett. “The China market will be an exciting challenge for us and we will have to earn our place within the mature and sophisticated flavor marketplace.”
