Fragrance and flavor house, Firmenich launched its 2015 collection of Sharing Innovation Ingredients.
The collection of ingredients falls under three categories: signature synthetics, woody naturals and woody bases.
Signature synthetics is comprised of muscone laevo, a cornerstone of the musk palette; sclareolate, which represents a clean white floral with a clary sage aroma and polysantol, the first sandalwood molecule created by the company.
Woody naturals consists of cypriol heart, which has an earthy distinction with smoke, leather and oud hints; pepper sichuan, a kick of spice with citrus facets and cedarwood super rectified, a slightly amber noble cedarwood.
The woody bases category includes three major woody themes:
• Warm, brilliant and slightly animalic,
• Ambery with elegant benzoin notes or
• Noble and creamy, like an Indian sandalwood.
The ingredients include wood, Armenian wood and mysore wood, all of which incorporate the three themes.
