drom Fragrâncias (Munich, Germany) is expanding its activities in South America with its acquisition of Quorum Holding (São Paulo, Brazil). Quorum was established in 1994 by Cláudio Luiz Rubino, producing fragrances for the fine fragrance, home and personal care markets. The merger creates a new company—drom international Fragrâncias Industria e Comercio Ltda, or drom Brazil.
The combined expertise will enable drom Brazil to boost production capacities by approximately 1,250 metric tons annually in the first stage. Rubino has been named general manager of drom Brazil. He has 36 years of experience, and prior to founding Quorum held positions at Colgate-Palmolive, Nardeen, Gessy Lever and Quest International. Rubino will be supported by Veronique Jeanne Georgette Chestier Massei, who will serve as director superintendent.
