The tour will run from 10:30 am to 5 pm and includes lunch. Members can register for £25, guests £35, sister societies £35, non-members £35 and students £25.

The tour will begin with an overview of the wider farming business and the history of the farm’s essential oil crop production, followed by a walking tour of the lavender fields and distillery.

Marianne Martin, BSP president, said, “We are excited to invite you to our first outing with the BSP since life has opened up. We apologize for the short notice but hope many of you can make it. We will be visiting a lavender farm (Castle Farm) and keeping everything crossed that the weather is kind so that we can see distillation in action on the day. I want to thank our amazing John Bailey who has arranged the event. So looking forward to seeing you on July 13th, especially anyone who has not been able to attend recent live events. Lovely to breathe some outside air and lavender vapors into the BSP airways. Do make sure non-member colleagues hear about the event especially younger members of your teams. This will be very educational for them.”
