Fragrance house Eurofragance has collaborated with Palau de la Música Catalana to present “Essència Palau,” a sensorial experience inspired by the modernist concert hall. The exhibit includes ten exclusive fragrances inspired by the architectural work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

The fragrances were developed by Angéline Leporini and Pelegrí Granel, senior perfumers at Eurofragance, in collaboration with Rebeca Cernadas, senior fragrance development manager and g global lead of creative initiatives.

“Each fragrance evokes characteristic scents and sensations of nature, reflecting what Domènech i Montaner captured through the architecture and design of the Palau de la Música Catalana,” Leporini explained.

Granel added, “It has been a true honor to translate through scents such an iconic architectural work in Catalan culture. It’s a way of giving back to the Palau some of the inspiration it gives us as creators.”

“Essència Palau” is the third collaboration between Eurofragance and the Palau de la Música Catalana. The exhibit is open to all visitors until June 22, 2025. The experience will be repeated next spring, according to the Palau.

“Each perfume tells a different story, such as the luxury of the bourgeoisie in Barcelona 1908, the floral majesty of Batalla de les Flors or the softness and warm of the sun in Aestas,” said Rebeca Cernadas. “We’ve worked with current olfactive codes — from solar and gourmand accords to clean and woody notes — to connect the Palau’s modernist architecture with the most innovative and current trends in perfumery.”
