Epicutis Launches Hydrobiome Serum With Biotech Ingredient TCP for Blemish-Prone Skin

Hydrobiome Serum Box Hero
Epicutis

Epicutis, the biotech-driven skincare brand developed in partnership with Signum Biosciences, is expanding its clinical skincare portfolio with the launch of Hydrobiome Serum —  a new formula designed to support blemish-prone and congested skin through microbiome-focused biotechnology.

Lightweight and fast-absorbing, Hydrobiome Serum delivers immediate comfort while supporting long-term skin health, barrier recovery, and microbiome harmony.

The serum centers around TCP, a proprietary ingredient and novel TLR2 modulator. Working in harmony with the skin’s microbiome, TCP helps regulate inflammatory signaling and support the balance of beneficial flora essential to healthy skin. Unlike traditional clarifying approaches that can disrupt the skin barrier or microbiome, TCP was developed to help support the skin’s natural defense system while maintaining balance within the skin’s microbial ecosystem.

The formulation also includes TPNa, a next-generation water-soluble form of vitamin E selected for its antioxidant protection and ability to reinforce the skin barrier. Together, these advanced ingredients help soothe visible redness, balance the microbiome, and reinforce the skin’s protective barrier—revealing clearer, calmer, and more resilient skin.

Hydrobiome Serum reflects a broader shift within skincare toward microbiome-supportive and barrier-first formulations, particularly for younger patients and sensitive skin types who may not tolerate traditional treatments.

“Hydrobiome Serum represents the next step in our mission to bring biotechnology innovations into dermatology-grade skincare,” says Maxwell Stock, Founder and CEO of Epicutis. “By focusing on the biology of skin balance rather than aggressive correction, we’re helping redefine how blemish-prone skin can be supported.”

Hydrobiome Serum is currently available for pre-sale through Epicutis providers and professional channels, reinforcing the brand’s positioning at the intersection of clinical dermatology and consumer skincare. It will be available via epicutis.com beginning April 1.
