MG International Smells its Second Award of the Year

Earning the Chemistry Industry Sector award in the Large-Scale Organization division, MG Gülçiçek (MG International Fragrance Company) has accepted its second award of the year. The award was presented to the company at the 9th annual Sectoral Performance Assessment Organization held by the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry on November 28. MG Gülçiçek established its presence in the industry once it built its 45,000 square meter campus at Gebze in autumn of 2015.

What it Takes:

In order to be considered for KCI’s award, the company must contribute to the country’s economy. The awards are given to companies that are a leading province for industry within Turkey. The nominated company must be the source of more than 13% of the country’s manufacturing output. The project leader and committee evaluate productivity, employment, innovation and branding. Financially, the committee observes results, foreign trade, contribution to the community, enhancement of the environment and the raising of employee awareness.

MG Gülçiçek’s chairman, Misel Gülçiçek, received the award and said, “We have devoted our lives to creating fragrances. The transformation of the 20 square meter Gülçiçek Company I established in 1961 into our new 45,000 square meter production plant and, in less than a year, receiving the environmental award and now this award fills me with great pride. Our goal is to make MG International one of the top ten companies in the world in our sector in the next ten years, already being the world’s first and only integrated fragrance manufacturing plant.”
