Schinus molle L. (syn. S. areira L.; S. bituminosus Salisb.), which is known locally as Californian, Peruvian or Chilean pepper tree, pepperberry tree or Peruvian mastic tree, is a member of the Anacardiaceae family, the fruit oil of which can be occasionally found in commerce.
