State of Change announced its official launch today alongside the brand's Allure Best of Beauty Award for the scent, Joy. All three of the brand’s fragrances—Joy, Grace and Escape— offer completely transparent ingredient lists and are shipping to the United States and Canada.

State of Joy

Top Notes: Pineapple, Peach

Heart Notes: White Florals

Base Notes: Toasted Almond, White Musks, Blond Woods

State of Change founder Ashlee Posner formed Lucent Laboratories in order to validate all components of fragrance formulations from concept to execution, giving full transparency, and in the future traceability.

“Fragrance transparency is so important,” says Posner, “because if you’re putting something on your body you have the right to know what’s in it. We are empowering the consumers to make informed decisions for themselves. Having access to knowing what’s in your products is the minimum.”

“Transparency is just the first step of providing the consumers with the information they need,” shares Posner. “We’ve seen the skinification of color and now the skinification of hair. With State of Change, we’re the first fragrance brand to bring skin-loving ingredients into our solid-format, sophisticated formulas."
