The August issue digs into wellness in the F&F industry.

Wellness spans beyond regularly washing our hands, which we should be more than familiar with after the last year and a half. From aromatherapy to the food we consume and supplements we take, innovations in the wellness arena are flourishing within the F&F industry. In 2020, the global health and wellness marketa reached a value of $3.31 billion. Looking forward, the market is expected to reach a value of $4.24 billion by 2026, exhibiting a CAGR of 4.10% during 2021-2026.

In this month’s issue, regular guest author Amy Marks-McGee explores functional food and beverage developments (Page 32) in her column, “Forward Thinking.” Meanwhile, Destilla senior flavorist, Sandrine Dauphi, discusses how food allergies are creating unforeseen obstacles, as well as opportunities, for the flavor industry (Page 38).

Getting a little more technical, Perfumer & Flavorist+ is digging into a study on the application of gas-liquid chromatography to the analysis of essential oils on page 42. This study is set to run in a three-part series in consecutive issues exploring seven esters. You can read the entire study online at perfumerandflavorist.com.
