Fragrance Creators Association Appoints Homer Swei, PhD as Chief Scientist

On November 21, 2024, The Fragrance Creators Association (FCA) announced the appointment of Homer Swei, PhD, as chief scientist. In this role, Swei will oversee FCA’s scientific initiatives and leverage the association’s network of scientists and technical experts to develop proactive regulatory strategies.

Swei holds a PhD in chemical engineering from Northwestern University and a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He has worked in leadership roles at global corporations and non-governmental organizations to promote science-based regulatory strategies and sustainable initiatives in the ingredient and consumer products industries. He has authored several publications and has received awards for advancing green chemistry and sustainability initiatives worldwide.
