Poulos held various positions in the industry, including with Kerry Ingredients and Flavours, Treatt USA and J. Manheimer, Inc.
According to her obituary, "she became a certified Master Gardener through the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Orange County, and applied her skills to making our town more beautiful ... Most of all she loved the simple things; cold G & T's on the deck (in green glasses), pretending to like football as much as [husband] Dana [Drevitson], reading, black-belt Sudoku, and taking care of her gardens and numerous houseplants."
