Chamomile Oil

Chamomile oil is produced by steam distillation of the flower heads of Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rausch. (syn. Matricaria recutita L., Matricaria chamomilla L.).

The main components of a lab-distilled chamomile oil that was produced by hydrodistillation from the flower heads of chamomile grown in Brazil were determined by Maia et al. (2004).
